Driving Directions & Parking

Driving directions to the free municipal parking lot on Germantown Avenue, the meeting of East and West Mt. Airy and a commercial hub of the neighborhood:

From Center City
Take I-76 W to Exit 340A Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive. At the bottom of the exit ramp, merge right onto City Ave and follow signs for Lincoln Drive. Merge onto Lincoln Drive and follow for 3.2 miles. Turn right onto W. Mt. Pleasant Ave. Take the third left onto Germantown Avenue. The lot is located behind Rothe Florists and FitLife.

From Chestnut Hill and Northern Suburbs
Follow Stenton Avenue. Turn right onto Cresheim Valley Drive. Turn left onto Germantown Avenue. The lot is located behind Rothe Florist and FitLife.

From the Main Line and Western Suburbs
Take I-76 E to Exit 340A on the left toward Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive. Merge left onto City Ave and take a slight left to merge onto Lincoln Drive. Merge onto Lincoln Drive and follow for 3.6 miles. Turn right onto W. Mt. Pleasant Ave. Take the third left onto Germantown Avenue. The lot is located behind Rothe Florists and FitLife.

Additional Free Parking is available:
-on Germantown Avenue (free on Sundays, metered until 6 pm Monday through Saturday)
-in the Valley Green Bank parking lot after 6 pm

Public Transit

Mt. Airy is SEPTA-accessible! Two Regional Rail lines connect Mt. Airy to Center City Philadelphia. East Mt. Airy is served by The Chestnut Hill East line (formerly the R7) runs through East Mt. Airy at the Mount Airy, Sedgwick, Stenton, and Washington Lane stations. West Mt. Airy is served by the Chestnut Hill West line (formerly the R8) at the Allen Lane, Carpenter, Upsal, and Tulpehocken stations.

The neighborhood can also be reached by the H, XH, and 23 bus lines, which connect to the Broad Street Line at the Erie station, and the 18, which connects to the Broad Street Line at the Olney station.
