Moonlight Movies in Mt. Airy
This summer, Moonlight Movies is bringing you twice the opportunities to enjoy free movie screenings! Friday nights outside at the Lovett Library Park (6945 Germantown Avenue) and Saturday nights at the Trolley Car Diner (7619 Germantown Avenue). The event, hosted by Mt. Airy USA and the Free Library of Philadelphia in partnership with Trolley Car Diner, runs from Friday, June 20th through Saturday, August 16th. Movies begin promptly at 8:30 pm.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, family and friends!
In the case of inclement weather, movies will be shown at Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church (13 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave). Enter through the front door.

Moonlight Movies Schedule 2014

Friday, June 20th (Lovett Park): Frozen: Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter. (G)
Saturday, June 21st (Trolley Car Diner): Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Rescued from the outrageous neglect of his aunt and uncle, a young boy with a great destiny proves his worth while attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. (PG)
Friday, June 27th (Lovett Park): Beetlejuice: A couple of recently deceased ghosts contract the services of a "bio-exorcist" in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of their house. (PG)

Saturday, August 2nd (Trolley Car Diner): Pitch Perfect: Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition. (PG-13)
Friday, August 8th (Lovett Park): Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs: The most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children's book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. (PG)
Saturday, August 9th (Trolley Car Diner): Ratatouille: A rat, who can also cook, makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous restaurant. (G)
Friday, August 15th (Lovett Park): Annie: Broadway musical based on the Little Orphan Annie comic strip. A young orphan girls adventures in finding a family that will take her. (PG)
Saturday, August 16th (Trolley Car Diner): Men in Black: A streetwise NYPD detective joins a secret organization that polices extraterrestrial affairs on Earth. (PG)
Dining Under the Stars
In addition to twice as many screenings as last year, viewers can also look forward to Dining Under The Stars. From 6:30-8:30 pm each Friday, a handful of pop-up guest food vendors will set up just outside the park site for an al fresco dinner service. Mt. Airy USA will be setting up bistro tables and chairs to accommodate hungry movie-goers who want to come early and grab a bite. Visitors can expect a rotating mix of food trucks and local restaurants vending at Lovett Library Park.
